-VOLUNTEER RECEPTIONISTS

HAGAM requires punctual and friendly volunteers to join our welcoming team. You will be the first point of contact for HAGAM clients, and will answer telephone enquiries, and assist with some general clerical duties.

This could be an opportunity to re-enter the workplace if you have not worked for a while, to gain experience in administrative work, or to enter the field of health and social care. Above all, you would be contributing to an organisation that offers a valuable service in the community.

We require you to be tactful, diplomatic and capable of dealing with members of the public who may be emotionally distressed or may display challenging behaviour. A clear, friendly, and professional telephone manner and customer care skills are needed.

Previous receptionist experience is not essential, but a positive attitude, good communication skills, an empathic disposition, and a willingness to learn are required. The ability to use a computer and experience of undertaking basic word processing is desirable. We will offer you comprehensive training in all areas of the work, refreshments, and reimbursement of your travel expenses.
